WHY JOOMLA CMS?PDFPrintE-mail

1 word... TRANSPERANCY!  I bet you had never thought of web design and transperancy before?  Well you have now!

Since immortality was out of our reach, we needed a system that could be easily worked on and supported long after we were gone!

After meeting business owners who had paid huge sums of money, for custom built websites that were badged and sold as the designers "own cms", we became frustrated at the lack of support and transperancy of the website design, this lead to us re-evaluating how we do things, we didn't want to become one of the web developers that had left the client with a site that no one could work on, or that needed some one like us to come along search the code to work out what it actually was!

We didn't want to become another web development team that left the client with little or outdated instructions or end user documentation for their site.  So, what did we do?  We researched, tested and trialed many CMS systems until we found the one that we felt best suited:

  • Our development needs - development shortened and development supported by a network of developers
  • Our clients needs - ease of use, support & end user documentation
  • Freely available software - Open Source
  • Free extensions & Paid for extensions - more than we could possibly need

So what was the Content Management we chose...  The winner without a doubt had to be JOOMLA!
